Beeragram™
Forget Instagram, here’s Beeragram. The handy pub filter for a camera with an over achieving flash.
The flash on my Lumix TZ7 can be very harsh sometimes, especially indoors in low lighting. This can results in subjects being far too specular and a little washed out. So we took a caña grande (pint glass of beer) and let the flash diffuse through the glass (and sometimes the beer). Et voila, instant Beeragram!

The Isle Of Sandwiches [Gallery]
Taken on a recent visit to the Isle of Capri, some pretty amazing views.
It was quite a hazy day and as such many of the shots of the landscape came out a little too blue. So I’ve used Google Picasa (I clicked the I’m Feeling Lucky button) to help clear up a few of them.
The title of this post is a play on words, the Irish word for Sandwiches is Ceapairí, which sounds very much like the name of the island.

This shot of Croagh Patrick reflecting in the Atlantic Ocean was taken on New Years Eve 2010 from the end of “Roman Island” in Westport, Mayo. The air was so still at the time that the Atlantic could have been mistaken for a lake!
The Highlands [Gallery]
A quick weekend up in the Highlands of Scotland. We stayed in a croft on Loch Linnhe, rode the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig across the Glenfinnan “Harry Potter” viaduct, and road tripped up to Loch Ness, Urqhart Castle and Inverness.
